The Culture
2022 & 2023 tour
NYC, Wellington (NZ), Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney and Melbourne
After a successful debut run in New York, ‘The Culture’ has just completed a six city tour presented by POWERSUIT PRODUCTIONS. Met with rave reviews and enthusiastic audiences in Wellington, Adelaide, Hobart, Sydney and Melbourne, this tour raised $14646 for women in crisis organisations, including The Wellington Women’s Refuge & Te Whare Rokiroki Māori Women's Refuge in Wellington, the Western Adelaide Domestic Violence Service (part of the Women's Safety Services SA) in Adelaide, the Hobart Women's Shelter in Hobart, Guthrie House in Sydney and Safe Steps in Melbourne. Thank you to these amazing organisations for the work you do.
The play is a story about deep and enduring friendship, and the pitfalls… and sometimes dangers of finding love in a modern world. Thanks to those who visited Katie and Will in their living room, and for joining us in a wider, important conversation.

Projects In Development
KEEPING SCORE - NOVEL
Love can heal you, but only if you let it.
Ryan, Ella and Luca are seeking connection in a world of sex and scandal – the Harbourview Tennis Club. Long kept secrets, family skeletons and temptations of pleasure and escape must all be addressed before any of them can truly find love.
Keeping Score is Contemporary Fiction based very loosely on true events surrounded by plenty of narrative. I’m currently implementing notes from my editor, and can’t wait until you can read it!
Speak Now - Play
Set against the backdrop of the same sex marriage debate, a daughter of two gay parents falls in love with an anti-gay & anti-abortion conservative politician. But being a wife and mother is not the dream she pictured, mother and daughter must reconcile before she can come home again.
Speak Now is a new Australian play currently in development. The play is a collaboration between myself and fellow writer Suzy Devery, and we can’t wait to bring it to Australian stages.
Join us for a script-in-hand reading and a glass of champagne on October 15th, at new dedicated queer space Q-topia.
OUt of the Nest - Children’s Book
Oh no! A baby bird has fallen from her nest!
Wren tries everything to reunite Baby Bird and Mama Bird.
Sometimes, one parent is all we have. And maybe that’s enough.
Out of the Nest is a picture book created in collaboration with illustrator Brandon Wong. If you’re interested to stay up to date with our picture books, follow @lb.library
